Consultation Fees & Rebates
At Cairns Trauma & Clinical Psychology, we acknowledge the apprehension that can accompany seeking psychological services, particularly regarding expenses. Hence, we are committed to offering a cost-effective solution without compromising on the quality of care. Our fees stand significantly below the rates recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS), which typically suggests a fee of $300 per hour for psychologist consultations. Please reach out to our clinic to discuss the specific fees applicable to our practitioners.
For those eligible, Medicare rebates can significantly offset costs. With a Mental Health Care Plan referral from your GP or specialist, you can receive substantial rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar yea. It's important to note that appointments with Provisional Psychologists are ineligible for Medicare rebates.
We also work with various funding pathways. These include WorkCover, Victims Assist, and DVA.
We do not offer bulk-billed appointments. However, we are committed to working with you to find the best financial solution without compromising on the quality of care you deserve.
Specific assessment, letters, and reports incur extra expenses – your psychologist/social worker will discuss this with you.
